Do you have a special storage situation that our standard products don't accommodate? The Mobile Storage Group® can modify virtually any container, trailer or office to fit your needs.
Our modifications inventory includes (but is certainly not limited to):
*Because we cannot anticipate what you will be storing on the shelves, The Mobile Storage Group ® installs shelving brackets only; appropriate shelf material must be supplied by the customer.
MSG SoundKey LockTM
The Mobile Storage Group® is proud to offer the most advanced locking technology available: the MSG SoundKey LockTM. This patented, exclusive keyless system uses sound waves to lock and unlock your
storage unit.
The MSG SoundKey LockTM is invisible to thieves and accessible only to authorized users. The automated locking feature eliminates the need for padlocks and keys. Security Lockbox
Our most popular modification, the Security Lockbox keeps your lock out of view of would-be thieves. Standard on all rented containers, the Lockbox can also be added to any other unit as an additional option.
Special Purpose Units
Some modifications are so popular that we've added some Special Purpose Units to our product list. Most of these units are constructed from our all-steel storage containers and are available in a variety of lengths.
- Bike/Apparel Storage Container - Retailers love these units for storing extra inventory during peak retail seasons. Custom racks allow for easy and convenient storage and access to bikes and clothing. This unit's heavy steel construction and security lockbox provide extra protection against theft.
- Crew Box - Provide your work crew a comfortable break room and/or base of operations. Built to specification, popular amenities include an electric exhaust fan, radiant heater, lockers and coat hooks, a picnic table and benches, and time card slots.
- Emergency Preparedness Container - Our special Emergency Preparedness Container keeps emergency supplies* safe from natural disasters, civic emergencies, and theft for when you need them most. Schools, government agencies, and even individuals find this unit ideal for storing extra supplies and equipment. Features include shelves, swing doors with watertight gaskets, and wood floors 1 1/16" thick.

- Mini-Warehouse - Partitions and locking roll up doors form individual storage units for multiple individuals. Electrical outlets are included, and interior and exterior lighting helps provide comfort and safety.
- Security Post ("Guard Shack") - Jobsite and other outside security personnel appreciate the shelter this unit offers. Air conditioning and heat maintain a comfortable environment, while a steel personnel door, lockbox and window guards provide added security.
- Vendor Unit - This unit serves perfectly as a ticket booth or vending stand at sporting events, school/church fairs, or any outdoor function. This specially modified container features a personnel door, swing-out windows with watertight gaskets, counters and shelving. Electrical hookups, interior and exterior lighting and air conditioning are also featured. Other modifications are available according to your specifications.
- Record Storage Container - Our 10' Record Storage Container will help free up valuable office space and keep your files and other office supplies safe from weather and theft. Personnel or roll up doors enable easy access, while a security lockbox on the cargo doors provide extra protection from theft. Turbine vents and cooling systems can also be added to maintain temperature and humidity levels.

storage container even more convenient.
- Portable Container Loading Ramp - Designed for two- or four-wheeled dollies, hand trucks, carts and pallet jacks, the Portable Container Loading Ramp has a 750-pound load capacity with a 4" height differential capability, making it much easier to load and unload your storage container. Available for rent or sale.
- Container Shelving & Pipe Rack Kits - Easy-to-install shelving and rack kits are offered in a variety of kit sizes and shelf/arm quantities. Available for rent or purchase, a shelving or pipe rack kit is a great option if you want to rent a storage container but need shelving or racking modifications.
- Bicycle & Apparel Rack Kits - Make your own Bike/Apparel Storage Container with these easy-to-assemble kits. No drilling necessary - the support rods attach to the lashing rings welded into every container. Available for rent or purchase.
